PDR Training Courses From DentSpeed
Central U.K. Location - Only 7 miles From Junction 26 Of The M1
Our hands on paintless dent removal (PDR) courses are designed to give you the best head start in this highly rewarding industry.
The ‘art’ of PDR can take months or even years to master but we understand that the first steps are the most important ones, and that with the correct base knowledge, skill set and understanding, you will be on the right path to success.

We do not try to cram too much information into our courses and avoid fitting in as many types of repair scenarios as possible. We believe this is a sure way to failure. However the procedures we do teach are taught properly, the aim being that the students understand the methods and skills associated with each scenario.
This enables the individual to take what they have learnt away, and with their own practice and personal development, perfect their abilities.

DentSpeed PDR Training Frequently Asked Questions...
Q..Is it easy to learn Paintless Dent Removal?
A.. To learn paintless dent removal PDR takes a combination of patience, hand eye co-ordination, concentration, understanding reflection and being able to read differences in shadow and light. Also being able to read slight precision changes when making pushes behind the panel and interpreting them to give you an understanding of your progression. It is by no means a simple task and just a case of picking up some tools and being told what to do and doing it. You need to first understand the reflection type you will use, understand what effect your actions will have when you work the metal and which tools to use to accomplish this. It is of course our job to help you do this and to see things how you see them at the outset and move you forward so you understand each process. Paintless Dent Removal is a precision pin - point skill that will take considerable effort and determination to master.
Q.Is further practice needed after attending training?
A..In short, yes. You must be prepared to practice at home in your own time to perfect your abilities. We advise students to attend the 10 day basic PDR course where possible, as the second 5 day block is when the learning process starts to make sense and all the pieces start to slot together, and so speeds up your personal practice time. Even by doing this you should still expect to have to practice at home for a minimum of 3 months if you give yourself 2 hours a day 5 dys a week. We are of course always on hand for advice and support.
Q..How long does it take to learn PDR?
A..The correct answer is you should always be willing to learn and embrace new techniques and practices. PDR is an ever evolving industry with new tooling and methods being brought to the fore all the time. You must not make the mistake of going on a training course and thinking that's the only way things should be done. You must always be willing to listen to other technicians and be willing to embrace new ideas and ways to work. To be at the stage where you can start to trade usually takes 6 months to a year if you put the necessary practice in, of course some people take longer and some quicker.
Q..Is DentSpeed training 'on the road training'?
A..No. We believe this is the wrong way to start students off in the PDR industry. You should only consider on the road training once you have completed a minimum of 2 weeks training and 40 hours practice. You will learn very little by following a technician on his route while he tries to earn a living. All you will be doing is supplementing his income with your training fee. This is why these types of courses are usually offered at a discounted rate. Just think how much valuable learning time you will lose when you're sat in a van driving to the next job. When you train with us it is all in house where you can really concentrate, you get our full attention and get the most out of the time spent with us.
Q..Do I need to practice before I come on a course?
A..We prefer you not to do anything before you come on a course with us. The last thing you want to be doing is picking up bad habits that may be hard to break.
Q..Do I get a tool kit with my training?
A..No. We are not affiliated to any tool companies. We will not try to entice you on one of our courses with a 'free' toolkit, nor will we offer cheap training then up sell any tools once you're on the course. When buying tools it is not a case of one size fits all. we will give un-biased advice on where to buy your tools and what tools you will need when you first start out, whether it be from the UK, Europe or the United States.
Q..Is your training part of an employment or franchise package?
A..No. we are not looking to employ any technicians at this time. Our training is designed for those wishing to strike out independantly. We have a number of highly skilled and trusted technicians that help us when we need it.
Q..Why should I choose DentSpeed for my training?
A..We are a company that believe in quality workmanship and professionalism. We will give you an honest insight into this exciting industry and answer any questions you may have truthfully and without hesitation. We will tell you the real earning potential of a PDR technician, not highly inflated claims you can read about else where.
